CD Utils - CD/DVD Backup for Linux & more
Summary of Features
- Simplicity - Above all else the CD Utils suite aims to provide a simple and easy way to get your stuff onto CD Media without lots of different flags, and configuration options. There are currently three components:
- CD/DVD Backup (cd_backup) - Backup your critical files to CD or DVD with a single command. For manual backup, or use in a scheduled task. (A compressed copy of the files is burnt to a CD, which can also be read by PCs)
- CD Restore (cd_restore) - Restore from a backup CD in a single command.
- CD Burn (cd_burn) - Burn audio, data, or multi-mode CD's from the contents of a single directory (or an iso image). This command analyses the contents of the directory, and changes its behaviour based on what it contains, and what your asking it to do (data, audio, or mutli-mode). you can use the same command to burn a CD from an ISO image.
- DVD Burn (dvd_burn) - Burn data to DVD's from the contents of a single directory (or an iso image). This command analyses the contents of the directory, and changes its behaviour based on what it contains - you can use the same command to burn a DVD from an ISO image.
